Choosing Education Over Hollywood
In a rare move for young stars at the peak of fame, both brothers stepped away from acting after their Disney run ended. Rather than immediately chasing adult roles, they enrolled at New York University.
Cole Sprouse: A Return to the Spotlight
Cole was the first to return to mainstream television in a major way. In 2017, he took on the role of Jughead Jones in The CW’s Riverdale, a darker, modern adaptation of the Archie Comics universe.
The series introduced him to a new generation of fans and ran for seven seasons, cementing his place as a successful adult actor. Alongside acting, Cole developed a strong reputation for his photography, shooting campaigns and editorial spreads for major fashion publications.
Dylan Sprouse: Entrepreneurship and Independent Film
While Cole gravitated back toward mainstream television, Dylan carved out a different path. He co-founded All-Wise Meadery, a Brooklyn-based craft beverage company, demonstrating his entrepreneurial ambitions.
On the acting front, Dylan focused largely on independent films and smaller projects rather than major network series. He has appeared in romantic dramas and thrillers, choosing roles that contrast sharply with his early Disney persona.
