A Plane Full of Skaters, Coaches and Families

Aboard Flight 5342 were athletes, coaches, and family members returning home from the 2025 U.S. Figure Skating National Development Camp, which followed the 2025 U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Wichita, Kansas.

Among the 64 passengers and four crew on the plane were 28 members of the figure skating community, including:

• Young skaters poised for future competitive success
• Coaches who had dedicated their lives to nurturing talent
• Family members supporting their children’s athletic journeys

The victims ranged from children and teenagers with Olympic dreams to seasoned professionals whose influence spanned decades.
